Important Tour Information - Please Read!

 

Dates/Times

• Saturday, September 9 -- 10:00am - 4:00pm

• Sunday, September 10 -- 12:00pm - 4:00pm

 

 

 

Prices

• $15 per person in Advance

• $16 per person in Advance Purchased Online ($1 convenience fee for online transaction fees)

• $17 per person the day of the Event

• Sorry, tickets are not refundable.

 

 

 

Tickets

• If purchased online, please bring a printed copy of your receipt or be prepared to show it on your mobile device, to the Tourism Office to pick up your ticket.

• If you have not purchased yet, you can purchase at the Lexington Tourism Office, 1110 Main Street, 10am-4pm Monday through Saturday, and special hours of 10am-4pm on Sunday, September 10th.

• Sorry, tickets are not refundable.

• Homes are not handicap-accessible.

• This tour may not be suitable for small children.

• There is only one ticket price for all ages.  Kids must be attended to and accompanied by an adult at all times.

 

 

 

Route

• Where do I start? Tours begin at the Lexington Tourism office, 1110 Main Street, where you can purchase tickets, or pick up your advance purchase tickets.

• Where do I go? Your ticket has details on each home and a map of the area. You may drive the tour yourself using the map as a guide. The homes may be viewed in any order.

• Please do not block driveways or alleys.

• Are there busses? No, you may drive the tour yourself using the map as a guide. Please do not block driveways.

 

 

 

Restrooms

• Restroom facilities are NOT available at the Homes. They are available at

• Tourism office

• Courthouse

• The Lex Auditorium

• Lexington Museum

• Battlefield Museum

 

 

 

General

• It is recommended that you wear flat, comfortable shoes. Some homeowners may request that guests wear shoe covers which will be provided. Please put on shoe covers when you enter, and deposit them when you exit.

• Homes are not handicap-accessible. There may be stairs from the street to the home entrance.  Stairs inside the homes may be steeper than modern homes, with lower handrails.

• No strollers will be allowed on the homeowner’s property.

• This tour may not be suitable for small children.

• No pets are allowed on any of the tour properties.

• Please stay within the tour area of the homes.  Some homeowners may have areas blocked off from public view.

• Please do not touch the homeowner’s personal possessions.

• No smoking on the homeowner’s property.

• Photography is not permitted without the consent of the homeowner.

• This event is organized and staffed completely by volunteers. Please respect the homeowners and the volunteers working in each home.

Purchasing advance tickets online includes Express Check-In when you arrive.

A $1.00 Convenience Fee is added to each online ticket.

While Lexington is a small town, we do have complete 911 emergency services of Police, Fire and Ambulance if any personal emergency should arise.
